A New Direction for Solo Traveler

King Siu

April 1, 2022 by King Siu

Almost 13 years have passed since Solo Traveler launched to lead adventurers on a new way of traveling and seeing the world.

It’s time to reinvent ourselves.

Now that solo travel has gained acceptance as something that isn't only done by eccentric loners, Tinder travelers, or people with no friends, our team felt it was time to turn our attention to another area of travel that needs an intrepid leader and advocate.

This is why Solo Traveler will now rebrand and turn our attention away from championing the solo traveling lifestyle. As of April 1st, we will be transitioning to Pogo Traveler. We will dedicate ourselves to bringing attention to the exciting pastime of exploring the world while riding on a pogo stick. We welcome you to join us as we bounce into new adventures and hope that you discover the joy that dozens have found while traveling on a pogo stick!

Solo travelers will be glad to hear that traveling by pogo stick is also something that many typically do alone. In fact, a recent survey confirmed that 99% of pogo travelers revealed that no one has ever asked to join them on a pogo trip.

We know by now you'll be excited to try this out, but don't just jump into the pogo traveler lifestyle unprepared. We recommend that you plan short pogo trips as you're getting started before you commit to a longer trip outside of your neighborhood.

More tips to ensure a fun Pogo Traveler adventure:

  • Don't pogo within half an hour of a meal.
  • Keep both eyes open at all times.
  • Do not drink and pogo.
  • Do not pogo at night without the proper safety lights.
  • Watch out for low-hanging power lines.
  • Pogo sticks should not be used in the presence of lightning.
  • Register your pogo stick with local authorities where required by law.
  • Pack light. Very light.
  • Don't forget to purchase travel medical insurance and carry a first aid kit.

Pogo traveling has been misunderstood for a long time, and just like the awareness that we've helped bring to the benefits of solo travel, we hope to do what we can to show everyone that it's not weird to travel by pogo stick.

Just as we did with Solo Traveler, you can look forward to articles about safety, travel planning, gear and accessories, destinations, and personal Pogo Travel stories. We hope you'll join us on this next adventure.

Happy Pogo Traveling and Happy April Fools' Day!
