Day 1  Arrival in Puglia – welcome dinner
Benvenuti in Puglia! We suggest to flight to Bari international airport or travel to Bari train station.
The tour will start from the agreed meeting point in Bari city centre.
Meeting with your private driver and transfer to your Hotel.
After settling into the comforts of your charming Masseria Hotel located in the peaceful Apulian countryside, take advantage of a leisure time to rest up. Apulian Masserie are old stone made farmhouses that today are transformed into restaurants, typical Italian Agriturismi and boutique Hotels.
For your holiday in Puglia, we selected a boutique Masseria Hotel located in the central part of the region.
In the evening, your Puglia experience begins with a welcome dinner based on traditional food and wine!

Day 2  Itria Valley: Ostuni – Locorotondo – Alberobello UNESCO site        
After breakfast meeting with your private driver and local guide. We will drive through the beautiful Itria Valley, located between the Adriatic and Ionian seas. It is characterized by charming white painted villages, vineyards, mile after mile of olive groves, and the fascinating Trulli houses.
Visit of Ostuni, best known as “la città Bianca” (the white city) for its historical downtown houses completely white painted, a tradition the inhabitants still keep on for centuries. Lunch in a local restaurant based on traditional Apulian food and wine.
Then we will explore the charming village of Locorotondo. Its name means “the round place” because the old town layout follows a circular plan. It is the perfect place to spend some time relaxing and walking through its narrow and concentrically arranged streets, which resemble a labyrinth.
Finally enjoy sightseeing one of the unique places to visit in Italy: Alberobello “the capital of Trulli houses”, a UNESCO Site. Trulli are 14th century stone houses with a round shape and a conical roof; they are an icon of the region! Guided walking tour along the picturesque Trulli district and the area where some local people still live in these fairytale houses. Return to the Hotel.

Day 3  Matera UNESCO site – Apulian wine experience 
Today we will enjoy Matera, a UNESCO site located in the Basilicata region at the border with Puglia. 
During your guided walking tour, you will discover the fascinating Sassi houses – incredible cave dwellings carved into the hillsides. They were inhabited since the Stone Age right up until the 1950s and are considered one of Italy's most famous Unesco sites.
Guided visit of a Casa Grotta museum (ancient cave house) fully furnished as it was in the past. You will be fascinated by the beauty of Matera old city that looks like a living nativity!
Lunch on your own. Your local guide will be able to point you in the right direction if you want to experience your lunch in a cave restaurant! 
In the afternoon we will visit a local winery. Your wine expert guide will show you the vineyards and the cellar where you will learn about grape varieties and wine production in this part of Italy. Finally enjoy your tasting of different Apulian wines: white, rosè, and red! Return to the Hotel.

Day 4  Adriatic Coast: Monopoli – Polignano a Mare                                                            
After breakfast, meeting with your private driver. We will drive along the Adriatic Coast until to reach Monopoli. It was a thriving seaport in Byzantine and Norman times, although its strategic position made it the object of regular attacks by pirates. 
Here you have time at your disposal to visit this beautiful town on your own. During your tour of Monopoli historical downtown, we suggest visiting the beautiful cathedral in Baroque style, decorated with white, yellow, pink, and red marble inside.
Then we will move to Polignano a Mare, a characteristic Mediterranean fishing village that stands on a rocky cliff. Walking through the historical downtown you will admire houses and terraces directly overlooking the sea. 
Don’t miss to take a picture from the bridge with Lama Monachile view, one of the most picturesque panorama views of Puglia region! It is a small pebble beach edged by limestone cliffs, white-washed houses, and the most vibrant of aquamarine waters.
Polignano is famous for hand-made gelato, so we recommend stopping in a local Gelateria for a delicious gelato tasting!  Free time for your lunch. Return to the Hotel.

Day 5  Departure 
Breakfast and Hotel check-out. Say goodbye to the group as you leave Italy’s heel.
Upon request, we will arrange for you, private transfer to the airport/train station.
