Reasons to Visit Torrox

This was my first trip to Spain, and I'm glad that I saved for Torrox and my stay at La Casa. It is a family run hotel owned by two sisters and one of their husbands. They moved to Spain from England and did a great job refurbishing the hotel. They also have a restaurant which is in a different location to the hotel, but still close. The hotel has an amazing terrace overlooking the hills. There is an option of having breakfast in the hotel, which I did on my first morning, and it was a lovely, leisurely meal. Their restaurant is on the main square in Torrox.

Torrox is a typical Spanish town and has a central square filled with restaurants and cafes. It is about 90 minutes away from Malaga using public transportation. It is also close to Nerja which has caves to visit.

I was only there for a short break but Torrox would be a good base for a longer holiday with day trips going out from there. I’d recommend a few trips to Malaga, which has a great choice of food to enjoy.
