This is our fourth Solo Travel Showdown.
Recently, Tracey asked members of the Solo Travel Society:
What have been your favorite rural or nature destinations, the places you visited to see mountains, forests, waterfalls, deserts?
She chose eight destinations to come up with the list below. Over the next three days, we want you to vote to see what most people think.
- We'll start by pitting 8 destinations against each other. Please vote up one in each of the four pairs below.
- Tomorrow, we'll have voting on the four winning nature destinations. You'll vote up two to go on to the finals.
- On Wednesday, the final vote will take place. The two top nature destinations for solo travel will go head to head, to see which is the most popular for solo travelers.
Now, we know that this is in no way scientific, but we thought it might generate a little fun around travel in these times when we need to stay put. Plus, perhaps you'll be inspired to go to new destinations once travel opens up again.
The Showdown Results
The final counts are in – and it’s a dramatic result! When it came down to a choice between Scotland and England, you unanimously chose Scotland as your favorite nature destination. When it is safe to do so again, we hope that you are able to visit.
All cities in the showdown warrant a visit from solo travelers. I hope you had a bit of fun with the voting. For more information on any of these cities, just click on the links below or enter the destination in the search box above.
The Final Stage of the Showdown
