Kaps Place Hotel
I went to this as a first time solo traveler and it was my first time to Costa Rica. Kaps is in a great neighbourhood with a local farmers market on Saturday mornings, stores nearby, and a SAFE walk to downtown! They provide a yummy breakfast including gallo pinto, fresh fruit, eggs, ham, cheese, cereal and fresh squeezed orange juice. Coffee and tea are available all day. The owner’s name is Karolina. She is friendly and willing to help you with anything you need. This is more of a hotel than a hostel. All areas of Kaps are clean! There are TV’s in the bedrooms, and a pool table, ping-pong table and a huge selection of DVDS in the common area. The kitchens (3 of them) are available to make home cooked meals. Pets are welcomed! Ask for a Kaps Shot! I not only had a wonderful month-long vacation there but made many friends!
